Filante Forward

Renault is set to push the boundaries of electric mobility with the new Filante Record 2025, a car that’s as much a laboratory on wheels as it is a tribute to the brand’s illustrious past. This single-seater marvel is built for aerodynamic efficiency, measuring at just over 5 metres in length while weighing just 1,000 kg. It’s powered by a 87 kWh battery and is designed to set a new record for energy consumption and range.

Inspired by historic Renault speedsters like the 40 CV des Records and the Étoile Filante, the Filante Record 2025 fuses vintage style with futuristic technology. The car’s streamlined, almost sculptural body is optimised for minimal drag, aided by unique friction-reducing tyres and advanced steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire systems. Every detail, from the aerodynamic fairings to the 3D-printed components, has been engineered to enhance performance and efficiency, all while keeping the vehicle incredibly light.

The car isn’t just about breaking records; it’s a bold statement of Renault’s commitment to innovation. With cutting-edge materials, state-of-the-art battery integration using cell-to-pack technology, and a cockpit designed for both performance and ergonomics, the Filante is a preview of tomorrow’s production models.
