Reflections of Speed

Aston Martin’s Vanquish has inspired Reflections of Speed, a stunning light sculpture by British-American artist Anthony James. Premiering at Hollywood’s iconic Chateau Marmont ahead of Frieze Los Angeles, the piece captures the car’s precision and beauty through James’ signature use of light, glass, and modern materials.

Measuring over five metres in length and weighing almost three tonnes, the sculpture creates infinite reflections, evoking speed and motion. James, known for exploring the intersection of art and technology, has previously collaborated with Aston Martin at Q New York.

This project continues Aston Martin’s legacy of artistic partnerships with leading creatives. Following its debut, Reflections of Speed will be displayed at the Petersen Automotive Museum before being auctioned to support the LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund.
