Bringing a Dream to Life

Porsche enthusiast and designer Luca Trazzi recently brought his dream car to life, a one-of-a-kind 911 Speedster. Using Porsche's Sonderwunsch programme, Trazzi crafted a vehicle entirely based on his personal vision, making it a unique addition to the history of Porsche's Speedster models.

The Speedster has been part of Porsche's lineup since 1954, known for its sleek design and thrilling driving dynamics. However, there was a gap in the Speedster range during the 993 generation of the 911. Inspired by Ferry Porsche's famous words, "If you can’t find the car of your dreams, build it yourself," Trazzi set out to create the 993 Speedster that never officially existed.

Trazzi collaborated with Porsche's Sonderwunsch team to transform a 1994 911 Carrera Cabriolet into a bespoke Speedster. The process took over three years and involved close cooperation between Trazzi and Porsche’s experts.

The car’s striking yellow paint, dubbed 'Otto Yellow' after Trazzi's dog, and the reimagined bodywork are just some of the personal touches. Inside, black leather with yellow stitching and a custom check pattern give the car a luxurious yet sporty feel. Underneath, the Speedster is powered by a 3.8-litre engine from the 911 Carrera RS (Type 993), delivering 300 horsepower.

Porsche's Sonderwunsch programme allows customers to create one-of-a-kind cars tailored to their exact specifications. The process involves close collaboration with Porsche's designers and engineers, ensuring the final product is a perfect reflection of the customer’s vision.
