Aston's Alonso inspired track weapon
Aston Martin has unveiled the Valiant, a limited special edition crafted by their bespoke division, Q by Aston Martin. With a mere 38 units produced, this 745hp Twin Turbo 5.2-litre V12 beast with a six-speed manual gearbox epitomises pure driving pleasure.
The Valiant was born out of a commission by Aston Martin Formula One driver, Fernando Alonso. Inspired by his illustrious career and passion for high-speed driving, this car reimagines the Valour, pushing performance boundaries both on track and road. Q by Aston Martin specialises in creating bespoke vehicles, from curated editions like the Valiant to unique, personalised sports cars like the Victor.
Building on the brand’s legacy of high-performance vehicles such as the Valkyrie and Vantage, the Valiant combines retro V12 power with modern engineering. The car features state-of-the-art Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve dampers, a 3D-printed rear subframe, magnesium torque tube, and lightweight magnesium wheels. These innovations contribute to reduced weight and enhanced driving dynamics.
The car’s design focuses on both aesthetics and aerodynamics. A deep front splitter, carbon fibre grille, scalloped arches, and aero discs on the wheels reduce drag and increase stability. The aggressive rear end, featuring a prominent fixed wing and a functional diffuser, ensures balanced downforce and striking visual impact.
Inside the Valiant combines race-ready functionality with luxury, including a bespoke steering wheel, exposed gear linkage, Recaro seats with 4-point harnesses, and a built-in half-cage for safety. The cabin offers a choice of Alcantara or semi-aniline leather trims, ensuring comfort and control.
