The Defender Lives On
Land Rover has launched a limited-edition high-performance version of its iconic off-roader. Up to 150 specially-selected Defenders will be re-engineered to celebrate Land Rover’s 70th anniversary. It will be the most powerful and fastest Defender that Land Rover has ever created. The 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol V8 powertrain produces 405bhp, pushing it to 60mph in just 5.6seconds. This performance is complemented by an eight-speed automatic transmission, uprated brakes and handling kit, plus exclusive 18-inch diamond-turned Sawtooth alloy wheels.
Land Rover intends to continue the Defender lineage and will use its technology, pioneering engineering capability and design expertise to ensure the longevity of the Defender name.
