Reinventing the Devil
The Eccentrica is a tribute to the iconic Lamborghini Diablo of the 1990’s. Eccentrica, a startup based in San Marino, spearheaded this project by utilising a donor car from the first series of Diablo production. This restomod aims to modernise the car's technology and design while retaining its original character.
The transformation of the Diablo into the Eccentrica involved a meticulous redesign of various components while preserving the iconic elements, such as the scissor doors. The exterior received extensive revisions, showcasing widened track, redesigned bodywork, pop-down headlights, and intricate details like 3D-printed titanium elements.
The V12 engine receives technical improvements for increased power and torque, complemented by the use of lightweight materials like titanium and carbon fibre. Additionally, Pirelli Trofeo R tyres, a bespoke Brembo braking system, and a sophisticated Capristo exhaust system have been integrated to enhance performance, handling, and safety.
The interior redesign blended the 1990’s minimalism with modern mechanics, integrating high-quality materials like leather and Alcantara. The seating design combined comfort, support, and elegance, incorporating unique elements such as storage spaces and premium seat belts.
The Eccentrica prototype represents a blend of innovative engineering, precise design, and homage to Lamborghini’s classic Diablo, aiming to provide a thrilling driving experience reminiscent of a fighter jet for both professional and enthusiast drivers.
